Miss Kimberly Sollis
About: I'm a research fellow in point of care diagnostics working at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.I've been at LSHTM since 2008 when I enrolled in an MSc in Control of Infectious Diseases. During my year of study, I specialized in HIV and STIs, in particular- the control of congenital syphilis. Following the completion of my MSc, I began working with Professor in Diagnostics, Dr. Rosanna Peeling. In the past three years I've been working with Dr. Peeling, I have worked on a number of projects, including: a three year, multi-country feasibility and cost-effectiveness study on the introduction of rapid syphilis tests; systematic reviews of HIV monitoring technologies (CD4, viral load, viral load testing using dried blood spots, and early infant diagnosis of HIV); the Global Congenital Syphilis Partnership; and Global Health Diagnostics. As coordinator of Global Health Diagnostics since it's launch December 2011 (and before!), I've been working to populate the site with interesting and relevant content. If you have any suggestions, questions or corrections, please send me a message! I'm always looking for ways to improve the site and love to hear input from its members.
