Are you a nurse or midwife who has led a research study in a Low-and Middle-Income Country? The Global Health Network wants to hear from you.

About the Study

Nurses and Midwives are at the heart of healthcare delivery, providing essential services across diverse settings. Beyond patient care, nurses play a vital role in advancing knowledge through research, generating evidence that informs practice, strengthens health systems, and improves patient outcomes. However, conducting research as a nurse often comes with challenges, from balancing clinical responsibilities to navigating limited access to funding, mentorship, and institutional support.

Despite these challenges, many nurses and midwives actively engage in research, leading important studies that contribute to policy and practice. This study aims to explore the experiences of nurses and midwives who have successfully led research, understanding the barriers they have faced and the factors that have enabled them to thrive.

By sharing insights from research nurses and midwives across different regions, the study seeks to develop practical strategies that strengthen nursing research capacity, support career development, and enhance the impact of nursing-led research.
